“The Flock”
This image is poignant as it reminds me of the lifting of the first lockdown in May 2020. This was taken on one of my first walks further afield from my house after that strange spring. I rarely shoot without a tripod, but this scene changed so rapidly that I was forced to take photos handheld and bump up the ISO. Looking back, it is interesting to see that most of my landscape images back then are in the 70-400 range. Nowadays, I’m almost always between 24 and 40mm. It is funny how the subjects and way you shoot evolves over time without you even noticing.
