I used to avoid green in images. I am not quite sure why. Partly it is that green grabs a lot of attention and even a small amount of thius colour has to be carefully managed to avoid dominating the frame. I think also, our eyes are very good at telling different shades of green and the slightest mistake in colour balance in the greens makes an image read as fake, or over-edited. There was social media trend of making greens very cool and desaturated, but I don’t think this is the most respectful way to treat the hue. I am not totally sure about this image, but I do like the way I’ve treated the greens. The verdant rocks form stepping stones for your eye to follow into the image and I like that the dark diagonal shadow in the rock is mirrored in the way the clouds moved during this long exposure of the sky.
