It is hard to get a compelling shot of Wellington Monument. My favourite shots of it are detailed shots that include the iconography above the entrance. I always think that the monument looks best as part of it’s environment. I overlooked this image. It was just a handheld snapshot testing out a new lens. But when I was going through and culling my images from 2021, this one stood out to me as having potential. The image does what it needs to to set this imposing needle in its environment. Agriculture and fluffy white clouds – almost a caricature of rural Britain.

I print each purchase to order and they are carefully quality controlled. This being so, please allow a couple of weeks for delivery and an extra week for framing.
