Another photo location where I was trying to break my long journey north up into sensible chunks. Loch Tulla always intrigues me on the drive through Rannoch Moor and Glencoe, but I found it hard to take photos during this morning. The clouds of midges did not help the situation, but lack of inspiration and the tiredness I always feel at the beginning of trips was the real issue. I tried various things down by the loch shore and mostly met the same issues. The compositions were unbalanced. This is the only exception. It’s not spectacular, but somehow I find the framing peaceful. Later in this trip, I got some spectacular light in dream locations, but this image has a subtle watercolour quality that keeps drawing me back.
