I wasn’t sure about this one at the time, but it has turned out to be one of my favourite images from my winter trip north. Compositionally the way I placed it in the scene works well to make it the key subject over the mountains and—while I thought that the dynamic range of this image might be too high to balance the boulder and the horizon interest—a high-key edit works well here. I also like that the cloud in the top right forms the smudged shape of the mainland UK.

I print each purchase to order and they are carefully quality controlled. This being so, please allow a couple of weeks for delivery and an extra week for framing. If you need a print by a specific date, please contact me to make sure I can deliver it to you in time.
